SHIPPING & HANDLING SHIPPING: Girard Auction also handles all of the shipping needs for our internet buyers. Shipping takes place in our own shipping facility and on average we will ship 8,000+ packages a year! We handle our items with care and try to ensure that everything will end up at your doorstep safely; in 2019 we had a 99+% safe delivery rating, shipping over 6,000 packages and only having to file insurance claims on 20 boxes! We ship most everything through UPS and USPS. Everything is shipped with a tracking numbers and insured. Also, Girard Auction on occasions send items overseas that are rather large, such as tractors & vehicles. With our know how and past experience this makes it easier for International bidders to have faith in our shipment. We can arrange freight pick-up and delivery nearly anywhere in the world. When charged shipping all buyers are charged actual shipping plus the necessary handling & insurance fees.
SHIPPING SAINT: In April of 2020, we switched our shipping system to Shipping Saint! Using this system we are able to lock down super low rates through UPS, FedEx & USPS! This system will automatically choose the cheapest rate available after your items are boxed; and in turn.....saves you money! The way the system works is.

HANDLING: Handling charges are added onto every box and item shipped, this is to help pay for packing supplies and labor. We keep the handling fees very minimal in order to keep the buyer happy and coming back. On average, a $5-8 fee is added to each box shipped, with a minimum of $3 handling. For example, if you purchase 3 toy tractors and they fit in one box....only one handling fee is charged. Fees are based on the size of box used, bubble wrap and packing material used, as well as time of labor to put the order together.
INSURANCE: Insurance under $1,000 is through a third party. Insurance is as follows: $2 for the first $100 and an extra $1 for every $100 after. Example if your item was purchased for $375 then the insurance would be for $400 and hence would be a $5 insurance fee.
Example: 7 toys were purchased and need to be bubble wrapped, two boxes were needed and the total value was $675.
$12 Handling ($6 per box) + $8 insurance (for $700 worth of insurance) + $42 Shipping (actual USPS Shipping Cost) = $62.00 S&H
A minimum H&I charge is $5 on any purchase ($3 Handling + $2 insurance for under $100).
